Pictures of Some of the Hats I've Made

I wanted to show you pictures of some of the baby hats I have made so far.  I will tell you which pattern in my previous post was used to make each hat.  All of these patterns were very easy to follow.  Some of the knitting patterns are written to knit the hat on straight needles, ad others are written to be knit in the round.  All of the flat knit patterns can easily be adjusted to knitting in the round.  If you need help with this, please leave me a comment and I will gladly get back to you.

Links to Patterns for Knit and Crochet Baby Hats

Last week I was given contact information for someone who had a volunteer project.  Since I lead a knitting and crochet group in the library at the College of San Mateo, this was a project that was perfect for us.  The person I contacted volunteers at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital.  She told me they are always looking for donations of knit and crochet hats for the new babies, all sizes from micro preemie to full term newborn.  I have been looking online over the last week for different hat patterns and testing them out.

We are hoping to set up 1 or 2 dates over the summer where people can come together and knit or crochet a hat or two to donate.  These get togethers will likely be held on the College of San Mateo campus.  If you would like me to keep you updated as to when the get togethers will be scheduled or if you would like to make some hats and send them to me, please leave a comment below and I will get back to you.

These are the patterns I have tried that were very easy to follow for anyone, a new knitter or crocheter to a seasoned veteran.  Please do not add any embellishments (pom poms, tassels, buttons, ribbons, etc.) to your hats.
